There are many good Indian restaurants to choose from in Glasgow and the city has had the reputation of being a centre of excellence when it comes to Indian food. Charan Gill was the man who built and later sold the Harlequin Restaurant chain. From one small restaurant he built the largest chain of Indian restaurants in the UK which earned him an MBE from the Queen for his services to the Hospitality Industry. He sold his business and vowed never to open another restaurant. When the opportunity arose to open a restaurant in the heart of the city, the lure was too much to resist.
